Maximizing efficiency is the aim of this decision to rethink logistics for efficiency, not making decisions.
Although it's true that many processes are slow and laborious, the selection of processes is influenced by a number of variables, including capacity, cost, the availability of resources, expertise, incentives, and a company's potential for innovation. Consider going beyond the box and imagining that companies will start shipping empty freezers full of frozen fruit or other raw produce to the countries, where it will be processed by exporters before being delivered to consumers with additional value. That method is also the easiest to ship because it eliminates the need for temperature control, freezers, fuel, or logistics expenses. This kind of scenario is, in my opinion, possible if the volumes start to flow. Businesses currently invest a lot of money on logistics.
